About kitt
Built on the Sunshine Coast to reach your client between visits, not just in the room.
Our Story
kitt started at the finish line of the Noosa Triathlon. Freya Simmonds and Leigh Kelson had just raced it, two committed age-group triathletes and training partners: Freya a ten-time Noosa finisher and an exercise physiologist, Leigh a nine-time finisher. They race to stay a step ahead, and they had the data for it, from a pile of apps and devices. What they did not have was a way to turn any of it into a decision. Freya knew exactly what the numbers meant clinically, and even she found turning them into daily training calls overwhelming.
They weren't the only two who had felt it. Nathan Carloss, a sports physiotherapist who has spent more than two decades keeping athletes at the Wallabies, Lions, Suns and Reds moving and injury free, knew what a body needs to perform. Richard Low, a technologist and endurance runner, had wanted the same intelligence for his own training and could build the AI engine to deliver it. Leigh brought thirty years of turning technology into companies. The four of them kept landing on the same belief: everyone deserves to stay a step ahead, the athlete and the person recovering from an injury alike, and what gets you there is a clinician's expertise, made personal and made clear.
That expertise has always stopped at the clinic door. So they built kitt to carry it past it. kitt Clinician turns each session's dictation into notes, letters and rehab plans, so a clinician spends less time on paperwork and more on the person in front of them. kitt Companion goes home with the client and walks them through their rehab, adjusting as they go so they keep moving forward. Their adherence and pain flow back to the clinician between sessions, one connected loop with nothing dropped, so the clinician sees a problem and steps in early instead of finding out at the next appointment.
kitt was founded in 2024 on Queensland's Sunshine Coast by a team with more than 40 years of clinical experience between them. We ran our beta through 2025, and today kitt serves physiotherapists and exercise physiologists across Australia, working towards everyone owning their health with a clinician's expertise beside them. It comes back to why they started: connect a clinician and their client, and keep them both a step ahead.
