Phase-based ACL rehab
This template structures exercises by rehab phase — early range of motion, strength, and return-to-run criteria.
Sample exercises
Terminal knee extension (band) — 3 × 12, slow controlled, keep heel down, mild quad squeeze at end range.
Spanish squat (early strength) — 3 × 8, torso upright, pain ≤ 3/10, progress load weekly if symptoms allow.
Single-leg RDL (late phase) — 3 × 10 each side, hinge at hip, neutral spine, focus on balance and control.
Precautions
Monitor swelling and pain response 24 hours post-session. Stop if giving way, significant effusion, or pain > 5/10 during exercise.
